U-108 The Experimental Immersive Space of Techno Art

U-108 is established with the goal of becoming “a leading creative space for Taiwan’s digital techno-art.” Integrating 5G technology, immersive visual/audio presentation, and real and virtual spaces, U-108 break through existing display methods and aims to challenge the immersive experiences of techno-art and expand the experimental boundaries of new media.

With high-definition immersive synchronous mapping systems, 18K high resolution embedded mapping, detailed image projection with over 60fps renew rate, and 16.2 Ambisonics 3D space sound processing technology, U-108 is an experimental display space that includes attributes of “open/enclosed” and “embedded mapping/light and shadow reflection.”

The all-new U-108 involves more technologies and inspires further imaginations toward artistic presentation. To display the versatility and innovative experiments of this new space, three groups of artists are invited to present their works in the U-108 5G immersive display with the hopes of demonstrating “computing capacity plus transmission capacity equals the cultural force of immersive technology media.”
